India Peace Fest at AMU(Aligarh Muslim University)

India Peace Fest is an inventiveness to establish a culture to celebrate peace, non-violence, harmony and anti-war fortitude among the young blood.

India Peace Fest seeks to be a reply to the violent confrontation erupting between different cultures, genders, caste, and religion all over the world. Selecting cinema as an art, the festival seek to serve as a clash resolution and peace building endeavor.

India Peace Fest organized its first film screening in Aligarh Muslim University Campus. Aligarh Muslim University has 28000 students on its rolls; the university employs about 1400 academic staff, and about 6000 non-teaching staff.

This Film Festival was dedicated towards screening of various national and international documentary films spreading a peace and non-violence message.

What is Peace?

Peace is loveliness of life, it is sunshine, and it is the smile of a child, love of a mother, joy of father and togetherness of a family. Peace is all of these and more and more.

For us Peace is more than just dearth of war. It is a state in which no citizens of any country or group of any kind live in fear or in need, whenever we solve a single problem we add to peace for the individual. However, we bring peace to the personage; we make the world slightly better place to live.

Peace is not a matter of prizes or trophies. It is not the product of a victory or command. My friend Peace does not have a finishing line, no final deadline and no fixed definition of achievement.

Peace is a never ending process, the work of many choices by many people in many countries; it is an attitude, a way of life, a way of solving problems and resolving the conflicts.

Peace cannot be strained on the smallest nation or enforced by the largest nation.
Peace entails us to work and live together. Let the efforts of us all prove that we are not mere dreamers when we speak about the beauty of genuine brotherhood and peace.

An Initiative to celebrate the peace together and forever

India Peace fest promotes and celebrates peace through its program that contributes towards mutual respect, harmony, and co-operation among the whole human family. In partnership with various NGO’s, government agencies, educational agencies & institutions and members of private sectors, India peace fest will be a platform to facilities inter cultural and inter-religious co-operation, and foster a culture of peace and service.

Film Festival programs will be held through-out the year, and culminate in India Peace Fest, which will showcase international leadership conference, a social impact program, public celebration and award ceremony.

India Peace Fest will be more than an event; it will be a global movement of committed peace builders working in partnership upon the basis of common principles, values, and aspirations. India peace Fest will contribute to reconciliation; mutual respect; harmony and cooperation among all people.

India peace Fest messages and approach will resonate in the hearts of people from every corner of the world. Our main focus would be to transform individuals and communities through the medium of media as individuals recognizing and spreading peace throughout the planet.

We live in diversified world. At times, mere differences can create devastating conflict. Therefore, instead of dwelling on these disagreements issues leading to non-violence, India Peace Fest will focus on establishing a moment that can remove all the difference barrier among people through the mean of regular events, which will not only focus films that deal with non-violence and peace but also social-meetings for having a discussion about the same.

The true interfaith experience is a celebration of the universal principles, values and aspirations that bind all people together as one family.

India Peace fest will encourages constructive dialogue and joint action inclusive of all cultures and traditions as an essential component to peace building.
